Hazbin Hotel's Creator Is Aware of Your Season 2 Predictions — With Some Good News

The much-anticipated Season 2 of the adult animated musical series Hazbin Hotel arrives on Prime Video this week, and fan speculation has been widespread.

Season 1 introduces a diverse group of personalities living within the afterlife, sets them at odds accompanied by songs about their clashes, and builds heated competitions and emotional bonds that fuel audience devotion.

The community's expectations for the new season vary widely, but certain themes emerge over and over: Could Angel Dust escape his tormentor? Will we find out more about the mysterious "deal" constraining the enigmatic Alastor? Might certain characters' relationships evolve?

"Obviously, I don't make the show with audience demands specifically in mind," the creator stated recently. "However I feel like me being a fan of my own show means there's a lot of it just inherently. I also am eager for these things, and I hope some of these things to happen, and obviously some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

The creator reveals her long-term vision is for a five-season run of Hazbin Hotel. Seasons 3 and 4 have already been green-lit by Prime Video and A24, which finance the series.

That could imply viewers have to wait years for some of the biggest payoffs — but they could be shocked at how quickly the new season progresses, and how much of what they're waiting for happens this season.

"I believe people are going to be highly satisfied," the creator notes. "We get some firsts. I think we get some incredible disclosures, some really cool origin tales, and even basic elements, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] We're going to hear much more singing from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

She's certainly aware of the theories and desires about the upcoming season — especially in the form of audience prediction charts.

"I've come across a few fans create a prediction grid about season 2," she mentions. "Naturally I won't share it, but I've already completed some of them, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. I thought, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we do a lot [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I was like, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that makes me happy."

Hazbin Hotel season 2 launches on the streaming service on October 29.
